Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance
SDTA’s Evolution
Our History
The Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance (SDTA) was established in 2020 as a venture builder for science-based ventures, with support from the Enterprise Singapore, to create sustainable impact alongside financial returns.
Through its venture-building programme, SDTA created startups such as Aprisium, Altent Renewables, and Antomation. This work demonstrated the Alliance’s ability to address real-world challenges through innovation, in collaboration with notable research institutions in Singapore, including A*STAR, NUS, NTU, SUTD, and the Singapore-ETH Centre, as well as global corporations including Lenovo, Micron, IMI, allnex, Zuellig Pharma, TÜV SÜD, Murata, OMRON, dentsu, Avnet, Singapore Science Park, and Panasonic.

Our New Identity
After creating found more than 20 startups and accelerating more than 500 global startups and scale-ups in their market entry into Singapore, SDTA recognised that lasting change requires a broader ecosystem approach.
Since 2024, SDTA has spun out SDTA Ventures Pte Ltd (now known as Atum Ventures Pte Ltd) and evolved into a nonprofit, Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance Ltd, to address complex sustainability challenges by facilitating bottom-up innovation pathways that engage diverse talents, communities, and partners.
As part of the Temasek Shophouse Collective, SDTA’s nonprofit flagship project, SG Eco Loop, supported by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the Temasek Foundation, equips youths with the capabilities, networks, and opportunities to use innovation to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing our planet. In the same year, SDTA has also entered into an MOU with Deep Tech Canada to collectively address shared global challenges through innovation and cross-border collaboration.
SDTA has grown from building ventures to building change makers, carrying forward the same innovative spirit that shaped its origins into solutions that strengthen communities and advance sustainability. Think of us as the TED Talk for sustainable innovation — a platform that surfaces and facilitates world changing ideas, convenes innovative thinkers, and drives real-world change through high-impact narratives.
This evolution reflects SDTA’s commitment to leaving no one behind.
